Benjamin Walker

Benjamin Walker is a member of the Board of Directors of nemensis AG in Germany and relaunched the company in 2020 as a subsidiary of I. K. Hofmann GmbH. After graduating from Heidelberg University, he specialized in the contracting industry in 2016 and, with over 500 successfully completed projects under his belt, is an expert in sales and recruiting. In 2020, he relaunched nemensis AG in Germany as a specialized freelance agency—right in the middle of the pandemic. Since then, he has been leading the Hamburg-based company on an ambitious growth trajectory to become an established player in the German market.

    nemensis goes international

    nemensis AG expands into the Czech Republic by establishing the freelance agency nemensis Czech.

  • 2025

    Partner-management

    Partner management is introduced to collaborate strategically with small and specialized companies. It also relieves the sales and recruiting teams by enabling them to outsource research tasks.

    Year-end results:

    • Over EUR 25 million in revenue
    • 364 freelancers placed in projects

    Our First Trade Show Booth

    nemensis AG officially sponsors the Freelance Unlocked trade show in Berlin for the first time and is represented with its own booth.

    New Headquarters and Structure

    nemensis AG relocates its headquarters from Munich to Hamburg. In addition, the Finance & Administration department is established.

    nemensis AG, in collaboration with EMS, develops a proprietary freelancer pooling solution tailored to clients looking to build a freelancer pool.

    Rebranding

    nemensis AG develops a completely new brand identity and clearly positions itself as a premium freelance agency. The rebranding also serves to distinguish the company from nemensis ag in Switzerland.

    Year-end results:

    • EUR 16 million in revenue

    Further Growth Phase

    In 2022, the structures for the initial scaling of sales and recruiting were established, allowing both teams to be strengthened through additional hires.

    Nearshoring

    As initial inquiries for qualified professionals from neighboring countries emerged, nemensis AG introduced a nearshore offering. After a short preparation phase, the first placement followed in September.

    Sales and Recruiting Departments

    With the hiring of the first recruiter, building the recruiting team became possible, taking pressure off the sales team. Simultaneously, the newly formed sales department was reinforced by an additional Senior Key Account Manager.

    The First Internal Hire

    Thanks to the initial successes in the form of placements, Benjamin Walker brings on board the first Senior Key Account Manager to strengthen the team.

    The first placement is secured, and the new nemensis website launches in Germany.

    The Beginning

    On April 1, 2020, right in the middle of the lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic, Benjamin Walker relaunches nemensis AG in Germany as a freelance agency within the I. K. Hofmann Group.
